How to become a football volunteer

Every weekend, millions of men, women and children around the UK pull on their boots and play the most popular game in the world. And it simply wouldn't happen without volunteers.

Learn to coach

Pick an option to suit you – 5-a-side, youth, women’s and disability teams all need skilled coaches. It’s a challenging and satisfying way to spend time.

Football Coaching

Volunteer with your local club

If you’re happier off the pitch, you’ll find an array of behind the scenes jobs at your local club. Whatever you’re good at – from doing the accounts to running the bar, editing the website to chairing the club’s committee – your club needs you.

Ask the chair or volunteer coordinator at your local club about opportunities.

Become a first aider

Every club needs a first aider on hand to deal with accidents or act as a phyiso. St John Ambulance and British Red Cross run first aid training courses.

Help at a community football day

Mini tournaments, with a fun, festival feel, Community Football Days offer football skills sessions and much more. For a Community Day near you, contact your local County FA or regional office in England, Scotland and Wales.
