How to become a rugby volunteer

Love rugby but don’t want to get muddy? Every rugby club and event around the UK needs volunteers behind the scenes to keep things running.

Find the perfect role for you

Organised? Good with people? Laugh in the face of tricky logistics? Why not see if your local club needs an events manager?

Lots of clubs have a school liaison – they approach local schools, colleges and universities that may be interested in sharing training, pitches, players and coaches.

There’s a host of other roles too, from communications to transport, facilities to funding. Contact your local club to find out about opportunities in England. Find out more on volunteering in Wales and Scotland.

Be a Young Rugby Ambassador

If you’re between 14 and 25 you can join the Young Rugby Ambassador programme. From refereeing a weekly match to volunteering at an annual event, you can do as much or as little as you like to support the sport.
